just curious why all the 10u tourneys this fall are pushing this "NO 2000 year pitchers"... that makes no since. At what point have the Travel Teams decided to water down the 10u? I know its the hardest jump any girl makes in their softball life but everyone has to do it... but Many have done it in the past and they where just fine. My oldest made the jump and the first tourney she played in as a 10u girl she didn't see one first year pitcher all where second year girls and they took their lumps. At the end of the summer though their team won the last 2 tournaments they played in. All these tournaments are doing are retarding the girls... they will have to see the speed sooner or later and in my experience the sooner the better and the more often the better. Well (you might say) this will give your girls a chance to learn the new rules, I would reply "PRACTICE" ... if your team is planning on teaching your girls the rules in game, you might want to rethink your being on that team. Well any ways just a question, and I'm sure most will disagree ...

Since this debate is raging on the other board, I hace created a poll on this subject.
