As a tournament director and parent, I would like to know what you think makes a good tournament. I have been to many tournaments and I know what I like, but I want your opinion.
Who knows...somebody may read this and make their tournament better.
What format? (1 or 2 pool, Single / Double elim) 1 or 2 day? Fri / Sat or Sat / Sun? number of teams? quality of teams? trophies or plaques? Individual awards for 1st place / 2nd place?
Give us your thoughts.

It depends. If its early in the season, I want a bunch of games to get experience and evaluate players, so friendly format. If its a local tournament midseason, any 1 day format If we are gonna travel 1+ hrs, I want 2 pool double elimination.
I like for pool play to always be for "fun", and brackets be drawn from blind draw or sanction points standing. This way, there is not as much pressure to win, keep runs allowed down... So I can change the lineup around.

For awards, 1st & 2nd place. I can do without the huge team trophy. I would rather see the girls get a small trophy or a 'champs' T shirt.
**Also I love the tourneys that have a big spread for coaches lounge / hospitality area** !
